How to write the best CV

We have listed few principles for you to focus and include in your CV. Its very important to understand the recriuter side to identify what you should emphsize in writing your resume.

Be Relevant

There is no one way to write but the candidates should stand out the most relevant skill for the role he is applying for. If you are applying for a role that require speaking foreign languages then push them to the top of you CV.

Having the recruiter reading irrelevant information can reduce your chances by 50% to the get noticeable. The top of your CV should include the most relevant experience for the job. The recruiter has to fill in a position with the upmost suitable person for the job and then justify his position to his superiors.

Length

Many wont read the second page of your CV so try keeping it short and relevant.

Most importantly if your experience is long keep the most relevant in the first page.

Try managing the spaces of your editor to place everything on one / first page

Your Experience

Describe in detail what have you been actively doing on a day to day. Use expressions like "I manage a team of ...", "I did ..."

Achievements! don't forget the business wants the best people so don't save on any improvements you manage to bring into the organization.

Design

  1. Order and consistency use the same font, spacing.
  2. Keep the most recent experience at the top and maintain spaces between each organization you worked for.
  3. Keep it short and descriptive. Avoid long boring paragraphs.
  4. People tend to scan first. Use bold headlines for the company name and your role.
  5. Use colors but not too much. Up to 3 colors is the role of thumb. One dominant and the rest shades.

Structure

Dont forget we need to entice the reader on your experience.

  3. Your experience in chronological order.
  4. Education and any relevant qualifications that you have.
  5. Knowledge and diplomas listed bellow
  6. Reccomandations upon request
